The Town Box of 2004 was in its sixth year, a mid engined kei car for the domestic market with a 659 cc three cylinder engine, sold in Japan as a more passenger oriented vehicle than the Bravo series, and also as the Nissan Clipper Rio. It had a standard high roof, with an optional sunroof, and the rear seat with a split folding bench after the facelift of 2000. The first generation Town Box was also sold in Japan as the Nissan Clipper Rio.
