The Toppo was discontinued in 2004 after about six years of the third generation and fourteen years in all since the Minica Toppo of 1990. It had been sold alongside the eK, which had replaced it in 2001, and the name would return in 2008 as the fourth generation Toppo. The Toppo BJ was a tall light recreational vehicle derived from the Minica kei car. In Japan the Toppo was sold at a specific retail chain called Galant Shop.
