The Minica Toppo of 1997 was in its fifth year as the second generation and the last full year before the new generation of 1998, a tall kei MPV that kept the passenger compartment of the first Toppo with the front end of the Minica. The retro styled Town Bee variant of 1996 remained on sale. The Toppo was a tall light recreational vehicle derived from the Minica kei car. The second generation Minica Toppo was a thorough facelift of the short-lived first generation model.
