The sale of the stock of Raider trucks ended in 2010, a year after production stopped in 2009. The Raider had been announced at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2005 as a sister car of the Dodge Dakota built at the Michigan plant of Chrysler, and put on sale on 23 September 2005, with 4.7 liter V8 and 3.7 liter V6 gasoline engines. The Raider of 2010 was thus only the last months of stock sales, with no successor. The Raider name is recycled from the Dodge Raider SUV sold from 1987 to 1990, which was a rebadged Mitsubishi Montero.
