A new series, the NT, was introduced in 2009, when the 3.0 liter V6 engine was dropped in the Gulf markets, and the Irish Defence Force ordered 320 units of the fourth generation Pajero NT for use at home and overseas. The seats folded and tumbled forward to give a total storage volume of 1,790 liters. The sister Liebao Qibing was produced from 2009 until 2014. It was sold as the Montero in Spain and Latin America and the Shogun in the United Kingdom.
