Mitsubishi Outlander (first generation)

Automobiles

The first generation Outlander, called the Airtrek in Japan, was based on the Mitsubishi ASX concept vehicle exhibited at the 2001 North American International Auto Show and introduced to the Japanese market on 20 June 2001 at Car Plaza dealers. A performance Turbo-R model with a detuned Lancer Evolution 4G63T turbo engine came in 2002, and it reached North America in 2003, replacing the Montero Sport, on a platform shared with the Grandis. Its model years run from 2001 to 2005.
