The Minicab of 1998 was in its eighth and last year as the fifth generation, with 723,772 fifth generation Minicabs built in all. It was a kei van and truck with 660 cc engines, a two valve base version and fuel injected versions of 48 PS, and the Bravo, which no longer used the Minicab name, with concave oval headlights and a five valve engine. Across the range, 66 model variations were possible. The Minicab was sold in Japan at a specific retail chain called Galant Shop.
