In January 1997 versions of the Minica and Toppo with retro styled front ends were introduced as the Town Bee model. The Minica of 1997 was in its fifth year as the seventh generation and the last full year before the eighth, a three or five door kei car with a 659 cc four cylinder engine. The Toppo continued to use the rear bodywork of the original Minica Toppo. The Minica was offered in three- and five-door versions.
