1962 Mitsubishi Minica

Automobiles

The first Minica, the LA20, was introduced in October 1962 as a two door sedan based on the Mitsubishi 360 light truck, with the same front mounted 359 cc twin cylinder air cooled engine driving the rear wheels. A Light Van DeLuxe of the 360 had appeared in April 1962, standard with whitewall tires and lace curtains, and the Minica competed with the Subaru 360 and the Daihatsu Fellow Max. The Mitsubishi 360 and Minica competed with the established Subaru 360, Daihatsu Fellow Max, and the Suzuki Fronte in the late sixties.
