The Lancer EX was ended in 1987, absorbed into the Fiore, before the arrival of the third generation Lancer that was to be the combined successor of the two. The Lancer Fiore of 1987 was thus the main Lancer of the time, an advanced front wheel drive car sold at the Galant stores, with a sister Mirage, and with the Lancer Wagon of the same generation sold beside it. The Lancer Fiore was a sister car of the Mirage with the inside and outside partly changed.
