The second generation of the Lancer Fiore was fully changed in October 1983 together with the Mirage, with 1,300 cc, 1,500 cc and 1,600 cc turbo engines and a 1,800 cc diesel, and with a digital meter in the higher grades. It was an advanced front wheel drive car beside the rear wheel drive Lancer EX, and the main model of the Lancer series gradually moved to it. The name Fiore is Italian for flower. The Lancer Fiore was a sister car of the Mirage with the inside and outside partly changed.
