The first Lancer Fiore appeared in February 1982 with the Mirage II as a front wheel drive sedan of 1,200 cc and 1,400 cc, and a 1,400 cc turbo model was added in August 1982, to fill the gap left by the lack of a Mirage level basic model at the Galant stores. It was sold at the Galant stores and was a sister of the Mirage, and it was a Lancer in name only, as the unrelated Lancer EX went on sale beside it. Its model year is 1982, in a first generation that ran to 1983.
