The 2015 model year was the final year of the Lancer Evolution in North America, after Mitsubishi revealed in 2014 that it would be discontinued, refocusing on crossovers and electric vehicles. The Evolution X had been produced for nine years by that point. All generations use two liter intercooled turbo inline four cylinder engines and all wheel drive systems. The Lancer Evolution was a sports sedan and rally car based on the Lancer, made by Mitsubishi Motors from 1992 until 2016, with ten official versions.
