The production Mini John Cooper Works GP was revealed in November 2019, retaining some features of the 2017 concept, such as a similar rear spoiler and wings, and in June 2019 a tweet had shown its Nurburgring time of 7:56.69 in the dashboard trim. The mass produced battery electric Mini Electric also arrived in 2019, after the Mini E field trial of 2009. The Mini Electric would be put on sale in the following year.
