Mercury S-55 (first generation)

Automobiles

The 1962 S-55 was introduced alongside the Mercury Monterey and, like the Ford Galaxie 500XL, was available as a two door hardtop and convertible. As a performance oriented variant it had bucket seats, a center console, a floor mounted shifter and special wheel covers, and used the two largest V8 engines of the Monterey. For 1963 four door hardtops were added and the Breezeway roofline arrived. Its model years run from 1962 to 1963.
