For 1973 the Marquis underwent an extensive mid cycle revision, largely coinciding with the addition of five mile per hour bumpers, with a complete redesign of the roofline. The four door Marquis shared its roofline with the Ford LTD, while the two door remained a hardtop with retractable side windows. An early form of anti lock braking called Sure Track was introduced as an option. Station wagons were part of the Marquis range, with the Colony Park as the woodgrained wagon.
