For 1961 to 1966 Mercury trucks had a gear and lightning bolt symbol on their horn button, and no other interior Mercury nameplates. The Mercury M series of 1961 was a Canadian rebadged Ford F Series, and the Ford Econoline van moved to Canada as a Mercury that year. It was sold mainly in Canada and followed the Ford trucks closely, differing largely in exterior trim. The Mercury M series was a line of trucks that Ford of Canada sold through Lincoln Mercury dealers, rebadged from the Ford F Series.
