Alongside the creation of the Monarch and Meteor sub brands Ford of Canada introduced trucks to the Mercury division, and the Mercury M series of 1955 was in its eighth year. It was a Canadian market pickup that was the Ford F Series with changes to the exterior trim. It was sold mainly in Canada and followed the Ford trucks closely, differing largely in exterior trim. The Mercury M series was a line of trucks that Ford of Canada sold through Lincoln Mercury dealers, rebadged from the Ford F Series.
