Ford announced the discontinuation of the Mercury brand in 2010, though a few 2011 model year Mercurys were made. The 2010 Grand Marquis, a full size, rear wheel drive sedan of the fourth generation, continued unchanged with its horsepower and torque ratings the same through the end of production in 2011, and was among the last Mercurys sold in the retail market. The fourth generation Grand Marquis was a four door sedan on the Panther platform.
