For 1984 the front fascia of the Capri RS was fitted with a front air dam with fog lamps similar to the one used on Mustang Cobras and GTs from 1980 to 1982, the same exterior continuing through 1986. The 1984 Charcoal Turbo RS was a Capri RS Turbo available only in charcoal upper and silver lower paint, with a Garrett turbocharger and Michelin TRX package. The second generation Capri was a three door hatchback on the Fox platform it shared with the Mustang.
