The Japanese Demio was updated in 2011 with premium seat upholstery, a black meter panel and a new Burgundy Red Mica colour, and the Demio 13-Skyactiv with the first Skyactiv engine, a 1.3 liter, was pre ordered from 9 June and sold from 30 June. In February Mazda Australia returned to Japanese sourced production, which ended the sedan after only nine months on sale, and Vietnamese assembly began in October.
