In June 2020 the Scrum wagon received a partial improvement, treated as a specification change, that made it meet the WLTC mode emissions and fuel consumption rules and the 2018 emission regulations. The Scrum of 2020 was in its sixth year as the fifth generation van and wagon of Mazda, a kei vehicle that was an OEM version of the Suzuki Every Wagon and Every, with the R06A engine. The front grille and bumpers of the Scrum van and wagon were the same as those of the Every, and the truck the same as the Carry.
