1984 Mazda RX-7

Automobiles

The Series 3 ran in 1984 and 1985 with an updated lower front fascia, and North American cars got a new instrument cluster. Mazda introduced the GSL-SE, the only first generation RX-7 with the fuel injected 13B engine, rated at 135 horsepower, with larger brakes and stiffer suspension. The 1984 GSL was estimated at 19 mpg in the city and 29 on the highway. Moffat won the Australian Endurance title again. It had a live axle four link rear suspension with Watt's linkage and a 50:50 weight distribution.
