The Roadpacer of 1976 was in its second year, a full size sedan with a Wankel engine that produced 135 PS but only 186 N m of torque, at a peaky 4,000 revolutions per minute, which meant it performed poorly at a weight of 1,575 kg. It had a top speed of 165 km/h and a three speed automatic from Jatco shared with the Mazda Luce, and used luxury gadgets such as a central locking system and a dictation system. The Roadpacer was built only for the Japanese market.
