The Millenia in 1999 was in its sixth year, a front wheel drive luxury sedan built in Japan, with the Xedos 9 name in Europe and the Mazda Millenia name in North America and Japan. The Miller cycle supercharged V6 remained the technical feature of the S model, a design Mazda would not use again until the second generation Mazda2 in 2008. It offered better quality of paint and interior than regular Mazdas. It was built by Mazda in Japan.
