1985 Mazda Luce

Automobiles

No station wagon variant was issued on the HB platform; the previous LA4 remained in production as a wagon with a new front end. The Luce of 1985 was in its fifth year of the HB series. From 1989 an LPG powered Luce sedan would be built for taxi use in Japan, called the Mazda Custom Cab, and in China the generation was known as the Haima HMC6470L. The name Luce was taken from the Italian word for light. The Luce was widely exported as the Mazda 929 from 1973 to 1991, as Mazda's largest sedan.
