The two row CX-70 was revealed on 30 January 2024 in North America, as a five seat variant of the CX-90 with the same dimensions and engine options. It went on sale in Mexico on 22 May 2024 in the sole Grand Touring inline six variant, and in Australia on 23 October 2024 with the GT and Azami trims and the same powertrains as the CX-90. Mazda sold it separately from the CX-90. It sits on Mazda's Large Product Group platform with a longitudinal engine and rear biased all wheel drive.
