The CX-60 was revealed on 8 March 2022 as part of the new Large Product Group of larger Mazdas with a rear and all wheel drive layout and longitudinal engines. Its engines include a 2.5 liter e-Skyactiv plug-in hybrid petrol, two new straight six units, a 3.3 liter e-Skyactiv D diesel and a 3.0 liter e-Skyactiv X petrol, both with a 48 volt mild hybrid system, and later a 3.3 liter turbocharged petrol. It is larger than the CX-5 and smaller than the CX-9. Its model years run from 2022 to 2026.
