2018 Mazda CX-5

For the 2018 model year Mazda made cylinder deactivation standard on the 2.5 liter engine and offered the i-Activsense package on the Sport trim. In October 2018 the 2.5T Skyactiv-G turbo petrol engine, taken from the CX-9, was first introduced in Japan, followed in November by Australia for the GT and Akera and by Mexico for the Signature trim. The diesel announced for 2017 had not yet reached the United States. Engines were the 2.0 and 2.5 liter Skyactiv-G petrol and the 2.2 liter Skyactiv-D diesel.
