The eighth generation Carol is based on the ninth generation Alto. The OEM version, the Mazda Carol, was released on 23 December 2021 and went on sale in January 2022. There is no difference from the Alto except the emblem. The grades were kept from previous models, GS, GX and GL, and were offered only as hybrids, with Suzuki manufacturing the car for Mazda. The Carol is a rebadged model manufactured by Suzuki for Mazda.
