In South Africa the South African Motor Corporation, now Ford SA, fitted the B series with the 3.0 liter and later the 3.4 liter Ford Essex V6 as a range topping engine, the B3000 from 1993. The B series of 1993 was in its ninth year of the fourth generation. In Australia and New Zealand the B series was named the Mazda Bravo and Mazda Bounty, respectively. Through its association with Ford, Mazda produced the B series as the Ford Courier and the Ford Ranger.
