The Senator B was the second and last generation of the Opel Senator, arriving in the spring of 1987 as a longer-bodied version of the Opel Omega, and sold until 1993. There was no Monza equivalent. Twelve-valve 2.5 L and 3.0 L engines came in 1987 with a luxury CD model on the 3.0 L engine. The CD had electronic adjustable suspension, ERC, a first in a mass-produced European car, along with air conditioning, heated seats in the back, genuine walnut panels, a leather-covered centre console, a trip computer and cruise control. Gearboxes were a five-speed manual or a digitally controlled four-speed automatic from Aisin-Warner.
