The Maserati Quattroporte, Italian for four doors, is a full-size luxury saloon built by Maserati across six generations, from the first in 1963 until the sixth ended production in late 2023. The first, the Tipo AM107, was styled by Pietro Frua and built by Vignale, and was launched at the October to November 1963 Turin Motor Show. It introduced the long-lived quad-cam, all-aluminium Maserati V8, a first for a series production Maserati. In 4.7 litre form it was claimed in 1968 to be the fastest four-door sedan in the world at the time, at 255 km/h. A total of 776 Tipo 107 cars were made.
