The LS was Lincoln's mid size, rear wheel drive sport luxury sedan, built at Wixom Assembly from June 1999 and sold for the 2000 to 2006 model years. It shared the DEW98 platform with the Jaguar S-Type and the eleventh generation Thunderbird, at a time when Lincoln was part of Ford's Premier Automotive Group, and was Motor Trend's Car of the Year for 2000. About 262,900 were built. The Zephyr, later the MKZ, took over its market. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the single generation (2000 to 2006).
