The Infiniti Q50 is a compact executive car built by Nissan and Dongfeng Nissan for the Infiniti luxury brand. It replaced the G sedan, debuted at the 2013 North American International Auto Show and went on sale in North America in the third quarter of 2013 and in Europe in the fourth quarter. It is the export model of the V37 Nissan Skyline sold in Japan. Early versions offered a 3.7-liter V6, a 3.5-liter hybrid and, in Europe, a 2.2-liter diesel, and the Q50 was the first Infiniti entry-level model with a hybrid powertrain; that hybrid was discontinued in 2019. The design followed the 2009 Infiniti Essence concept and the production 2011 Infiniti M, and the car was notable for not having a traditional steering column.
