The Infiniti LE is an electric luxury concept car developed by the Infiniti division of Nissan and revealed at the 2012 New York Auto Show; the name stands for Luxury first and Electric second. It was presented as a production-intent concept and built on the Nissan Leaf platform, but with a 100 kW electric motor instead of the Leaf motor and a lithium-ion battery of 24 kWh or more under the passenger compartment, giving an estimated range of about 160 km and a drag coefficient of 0.25. Its signature feature is inductive wireless charging from a pad in the floor, with a CHAdeMO quick charger as an alternative. Plans for the car changed several times, from a 2014 launch to being put on hold in 2013 and again in 2015, when the company said it would offer no such car before 2020 at the earliest.
