The Infiniti J30 was an executive car that Infiniti sold from the 1993 model year, marketed in Japan as the Nissan Leopard J Ferie. It went into production on 7 April 1992 to replace the M30 coupe and sat in the mid-size sedan segment between the smaller G20 and the larger Q45. Designed at Nissan Design International in La Jolla, California, under Jerry Hirshberg, its rounded styling is now considered an early variant of the four-door coupe, and it left less interior room than a Nissan Sentra. Power came from a 3.0-liter VG30DE V6 of 210 horsepower shared with the 300ZX. All J30s were built in Tochigi, Japan, and production ended on 18 June 1997, when the I30 took its place.
