The Alvis Three Litre TC 21 was a luxury car made by Alvis between 1953 and 1955, an updated TA 21 sold as a four-door saloon and, in its later TC 21/100 form, also as a two-door drophead coupe. Mulliners of Birmingham again made the bodies, with a standard sunshine roof, adjustable front seats and a heater. Changes to the cylinder head and twin SU carburettors lifted the 2,993 cc engine to 100 bhp, with independent front suspension on coil springs and Lockheed drum brakes as before. It found few buyers in a hard year for the British motor industry and was in practice overtaken by the TC 21/100 Grey Lady, announced on 20 October 1953 with a guaranteed 100 mph.
