2017 was the last year of the third generation Navigator, whose successor, the fourth generation 2018 Navigator, was introduced on 12 April 2017 at the New York show. The 2017 Navigator and Navigator L continued the 2015 refresh with the EcoBoost V6, and the new generation moved to an aluminum body engineered alongside the 2015 Ford F-150. The Navigator was the full size luxury SUV of the Lincoln brand, based on the Ford Expedition.
