For 1988 the Mark VII model line was revised, and the car continued as the Lincoln Mark VII in Bill Blass, Designer and LSC models. It was a rear wheel drive coupe on the Fox platform, shared with the Thunderbird and Mercury Cougar, built at Wixom, and the all digital dash had been replaced on the LSC by analog gauges since 1986. The Mark VII remained a counterpart of the Thunderbird. The LSC was the performance model of the Mark VII, with firmer suspension and a more powerful engine.
