The 1987 Mark VII was largely unchanged from 1986, but a running change late in 1987 production added the 225 horsepower 5.0 liter H.O. engine to a limited number of LSC models. 1987 was the last year the Mark VII offered an optional CB radio, and since vent windows had all but disappeared on American cars, the option for them was discontinued for 1987. It featured an onboard trip computer and message center and four wheel air suspension as standard equipment.
