Production of the Model K was evidently completed during the 1939 model year, after Lincoln ended production of the Model K following the 1939 model year. The Sunshine Special parade phaeton built for President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1939 was modified in 1942 with current Lincoln front sheet metal. The Model K was succeeded indirectly by the Lincoln Custom for 1941 and 1942. It was developed from the Model L on a longer wheelbase and had a V12 engine.
