Automobiles

In 1990, for model year 1991, the engine output of the Continental's 3.8 liter V6 was revised to 155 horsepower. The Continental was still the front wheel drive sedan on the Taurus derived unibody, sold in the standard model, later called the Executive, and the Signature Series, with leather seating standard and six passenger seating available again for the first time since 1981. Average annual sales for the generation were double those of the one before.
