1960 Land Rover Series

Automobiles

By 1960 the Series II was the established Land Rover, sold in 88-inch short and 109-inch long wheelbases, with the 2.25-litre petrol engine rated at 72 horsepower, a close relative of the 2.0-litre diesel still in use, and later the standard Land Rover engine until the mid-1980s. The 109-inch Station Wagon was available as a twelve-seater. With the Series I fully gone, the Series II was the only Land Rover until the IIA came in the following year.
