From 2017 the Discovery Sport became Land Rover's best-selling model, a position it has held since. The compact car was by then widely known as a family vehicle with a flexible five-plus-two seating layout in which the third-row seats fold flat into the load floor and Land Rover recommends them for children up to fifteen and for occasional adult use. Isofix child-seat mounting points were fitted as standard, and the central console carried an 8-inch touchscreen, shared with the Jaguar XE, for entertainment, navigation and vehicle settings.
