2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport

In 2015 the Discovery Sport took the place of the Freelander, the nameplate that ended that year, with Land Rover feeling that the Freelander name was tainted by memories of unreliability while Discovery was more prestigious. From late 2015 the Ford-sourced engines gave way to the new Ingenium family of 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo engines, including the front-wheel-drive eD4 diesel with 150 horsepower and carbon dioxide emissions planned at 119 grams per kilometre. A nine-speed ZF automatic gearbox was offered.
