A run of special editions marked 1997. In Britain Land Rover planned 500 Goodwood editions in British Racing Green, but after learning that the Goodwood name was controlled by the circuit's owners, only the car for the London Motor Show carried the badge. There were also the Horse and Hound, twenty five-door Tdi models, and the Argyll in Oxford Blue or Woodcote Green. For North America Land Rover Special Vehicles built 250 XD models in AA Yellow with a brush guard and low-profile roof rack.
