The Discovery 4, or LR4 across North America and the Middle East, was unveiled in summer 2009 and went on sale in Britain on 1 September. It had new light units and a restyled front, and the Integrated Body Frame and air suspension of its predecessor, and a redesigned interior and a new TFT instrument display aimed at lifting the vehicle upmarket. It received a 3.0-litre twin-turbo diesel and a 5.0-litre direct-injection petrol V8. A Commercial van was released in the UK alongside the passenger version.
