The Defender 90 4x4 returned to the Australian market in early 2010, after the range had been widened the previous year. Elsewhere the L316 Defender continued, built with the 2.4-litre Ford diesel, a six-speed manual gearbox and the redesigned interior of 2007, and sold in over 140 countries, from basic work models for emergency services to conversions such as fire engines, ambulances and breakdown trucks. The 130 remained available with the high-capacity pick-up body as standard.
