The L663 Defender, launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show on 10 September 2019, is the first all-new Defender since 1983 and shares no components with the original. It has an aluminium unibody, permanent four-wheel drive with locking differentials and a two-speed transfer case, air suspension on every 110, and is built by Jaguar Land Rover at Nitra in Slovakia. It comes as the three-door 90, the five-door 110 and the three-row 130, with a range of four- and six-cylinder Ingenium engines and a V8, and a first major revision for the 2026 model year.
